1. Logging into IGJSJ Admin Dashboard
To manage your website, you need to first log into the IGJSJ admin dashboard.
Steps to Log in:
- Go to the website’s login URL:
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Click the Log In button.
Once logged in, you’ll be on the Admin Dashboard.
2. Adding Events
Steps to Add an Event:
- From the Admin Dashboard, go to Events > Add New.
- Enter the Event Title and Description.
- Add Event Details:
- Date & Time: Specify when the event starts and ends.
- Location: Enter the venue details or set it as an online event.
- Organizer Information: Add details like the name and contact info of the event organizer.
- Set the Event Category (if applicable).
- Optionally, add a Featured Image to showcase the event visually.
- Click Publish to make the event live.
3. Adding Blog Posts
Steps to Add a Blog Post:
- From the Admin Dashboard, go to Posts > Add New.
- Enter the Post Title and Content in the editor.
- On the right side, you can:
- Assign a Category to the post.
- Add Tags for better SEO and searchability.
- Set a Featured Image to make the post visually appealing.
- Review your post and click Publish when you’re ready.
4. Creating Additional Pages
Steps to Add a New Page:
- From the Admin Dashboard, go to Pages > Add New.
- Enter the Page Title (e.g., About Us, Services, etc.).
- Add content using the block editor:
- Add Text, Images, Videos, and more using the blocks.
- Customize layouts with columns, galleries, etc.
- Set the Page Attributes (such as parent page and template).
- Once finished, click Publish to make the page live.
5. Updating Plugins
It’s important to keep your plugins up to date for security and performance.
Steps to Update Plugins:
- From the Admin Dashboard, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
- If there are updates available, you will see a notification.
- Click the Update Now button under the plugin that needs updating.
- Wait for the plugin to update. You will receive a message when the update is complete.
Alternatively, you can update all plugins at once by selecting them and using the Bulk Actions feature.
6. Media Management
The website allows you to upload and manage all types of media, including images, videos, and documents.
Steps to Upload Media:
- Go to Media > Add New.
- Drag and drop files into the upload area or click to select files.
- Once uploaded, media can be inserted into posts or pages via the editor.
7. Managing Users
You may want to add or remove users and assign different roles to control access.
Steps to Manage Users:
- Navigate to Users > Add New to create a new user.
- Fill in the username, email, and password fields.
- Assign a role (Subscriber, Contributor, Author, Editor, or Administrator) depending on the level of access needed.
- Click Add New User to save.
